THE MOTHER ROAD
We return to the years between 1926 and 1985. Route 66 is, in many ways, the Mother Road itself. Along this road passed countless dreams, countless failures, and countless lives. Stretching from Chicago, Illinois, to Santa Monica, California, this route covers nearly 3,940 kilometers from the east to the west of America.
People traveled westward in search of new opportunities, dreams, work, and the hope of finding a new home. Throughout this journey, individuals came together, sharing their cultures, histories, joys, and sorrows, and forming a collective memory along the road.
